| ID #: |
Identification Number - This number is unique to each entry. Use this number if you wish to report a dead link or have a question about a particular reference.

| Title: |
This field identifies the title of the report, article, news release, or web site.
|
| Source: |
This field identifies the source of the data referred to as opposed to the publication or periodical. In some cases if the article or report contains numerous statistics from a variety of sources, only the author will be identified.

| Description: |
This field describes the data covered by the reference. It does NOT include non-statistical information covered in a reference. Oftentimes it will also include isolated "keywords" which are designed to facilitate searching.

| Publication Date: |
This field identifies when a reference was published. The format is Month/Day/Year. If only the month and year of a release is known the day is defaulted to 1. (e.g. 6/1/2003 for June 2003). If only the publication year is known the day and month are defaulted to 1 (e.g. 1/1/2002 for 2002). All references are organized by publication date starting with the most recent. NB: This does not refer to the date the data was collected.

| Frequency: |
This field identifies how frequently data is updated. If it is left blank the reference does not have a know scheduled update. Other options for this field are Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly and Annual. In some cases where a reference is updated more than once a year but with a frequency unknown the word "Current" is used.

| Location Type: |
This field identifies where a reference is located. There are three options: Online - reference located on the Internet Offline - reference located off the Internet either in a library, bookstore or from the publisher directly. (NB: some "Offline" resources such as newspaper references can be accessed via an Online periodical database either through a library or a private subscription. To find your local public library online click here) CBCA - reference located in the Canadian Business and Current Affairs periodical database. This database can be accessed either through a public library (at a local branch or via their website) or through a private CBCA subscription. To find your local public library online click here.) Archive - reference is no longer available online and no offline source is known. Take down the ID numbers of these entries and e-mail us through our Dead Link Form. Within one business day we will provide you with the latest information we have available on accessing this source. In some case we will e-mail you an archived copy when have on file.

| Geography: |
This field identifies the geographical coverage of the data referenced. If more than 4 provinces are covered within a source the reference will read "Canada, provinces"

This field provides a direct hyperlink (Internet address) to the reference identified. Click on the link to view the reference. If you would like to open the reference in a new window right-click the mouse and select "Open in new window" from the drop down list.

This field provides extra notes related to the reference. In some cases it explains where to find hard to reach data at a web site. In other cases it will provide an explanation of the nature of the data.

This field identifies when the reference was originally added to the Stats Link Canada database or when it was last updated. The format is Month/Day/Year.
