Accessing 2001 Census Data Tables The Stats Link Canada database contains references to specific 2001 Census tables. Most entries that refer to the 2001 Census include a link to the 2001 Census search engine page in the Hyperlink 1 field. To open up this search page in a new window click on the link below. http://www12.statcan.ca/english/census01/Products/Standard/themes/index.cfm Most 2001 Census references also include Census catalogue numbers in the Location 1 field. Copy and paste the relevant catalogue number in the “Search by census catalogue no.:” search box on the linked page above. This will retrieved the Census table identified in the entry. You can copy by highlighting the catalogue numbers then either clicking on "Edit" at the top of your browser and selecting "Copy" or by using the keyboard command Control+C. Paste the numbers into the search field by either clicking on "Edit" at the top of your browser and selecting "Paste" or by using the keyboard command Control+V.
