Competitors, Clients & Suppliers

The most comprehensive directory of non-profit organizations in Canada is the Canada Revenue Agency You can search their site by specific charity, by charity type or by location. You can then view the Registered Charity Information Return for each organization. This document includes revenue (e.g. grants, fund raising activities), expense, and asset information. All of this data can be used to assess the competition of charity dollars or it could be used to benchmark your own organization's performance.

Also search periodical databases for coverage of your organizations focus areas. You can access periodical databases through your local public library web site. All you need it a valid public library card.
